Made it!
I made it this far, only 2 more days until I get my check in the mail, and financial problems are solved (for the most part). When we get the internet working, I fully plan on picking up World of Warcraft. For those of you that play, I'll be looking for you! Also, just got back from GenCon. In case you're wondering how a poor guy like me could afford to go, the answer is Wizards of the Coast. I judged 7 slots (ie, 90% of the con), in exchange for accommadations. It was all worth it though, I got to meet a whole lotta players. High points include bringing Grim val'Sosi to death's door, and a level 11 psion single-handedly taking down a APL 15 combat. Also At the larp, I was a player this time, and I am now the most favored of Mannulus val'Sheem. Works out perfectly for me. As for the non-Arcanis related events, I got lots of swag, of course. Had fun playing the new Hecatomb game. It might be fun for a little bit, but I don't see the pentagonal shaped card game gaining anywhere near the popularity of Magic. But, it has it's moments. I am a big fan of the 'Eater of Children' picture. Yes, it's a little graphic, but that's probably the main reason it'll succeed in any amount. | | Friday, July 15th, 2005 | | 11:45 am |
Back in Clemson
Yes, that's right. I'm currently staying at Joel's place, and I must say, I'm glad to have left Myrtle Beach. Sure, it's less money. But I can deal with that, as long as I have friends to spend the day with. Sure, the PS2 is nice. But, it never wants to talk anymore... | | Sunday, July 10th, 2005 | | 7:23 pm |
Ninja!!
a Ninja You scored 10 Honor, 3 Justice, 5 Adventure, and 5 Individuality! |
You are a soldier of the night. You rely on no more than your cunning and your repuation to strike fear in the hearts of lord and peasant alike. You've a sense of honor, but one that comes from within, not imposed from outside.
Black clothes and shuriken for you. You're gonna do just fine. |
|
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
|
You scored higher than 84% on Ninjinuity |
|
You scored higher than 15% on Knightlyness |
|
You scored higher than 21% on Cowboiosity |
|
You scored higher than 40% on Piratical Bent |
| I'll make a real post sometime soon. In the meantime, I'm planning on moving back to Clemson early (say, in less than a week). See you guys soon! | | Saturday, June 25th, 2005 | | 4:43 pm |

Moved
Well, we're fitting in as well as we can in this little place. It's not so bad, but still, I'm looking forward to returning to school again more than ever. Of late, I've spent a good deal of time putting my Blockbuster Game Pass to good use. 2 games I'd like to go over today are The Bard's Tale, and Star Wars: Episode 3. The Bard's Tale is hilarious. As far as game play goes, it's basically an inferior Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance clone. But, the little jokes that go on during the course of the game are just top notch. I mean, your main character is being voiced by Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights). It really couldn't fail. Star Wars delivers, as expected. Although I didn't get to use the 2-player versus mode, I could tell it'd be great. Although, I'll admit the game lost all credibility to me when, during the Yoda special mission, I heard the phrase "On you must bring it." At that point, I turned off the PS2, and went to get a new game. Immediately. In other news, I'll be headed to Origins in 12 days. Boy, I can't wait. Moving
Yeah, it was a surprise to me too. My brother-in-law was having issues with his place of work. They decided to move to the beach. They had a plan set up where my sister would be a live-in nurse for a parapalegic (sp?) friend of theirs, but he bailed on them at the last moment. Now they had a signed lease, but not the income to live there. So, my mom stepped up and will help them out. It's a really nice place, but I'll have to live in some tight quarters for about a month and a half. The bonuses include a much better internet connection, and access to a country club (yay pool!). I think we'll manage. Now just to figure out what to do with my Mother's stuff... Hopefully, I'll be able to take that couch for my room over the school year ^_^. | | Wednesday, June 1st, 2005 | | 11:18 am |
My birthday recently passed, so when I saw this blogthing, I figured it would be appropriate.
Your Birthdate: May 29 |
Your birthday on the 29th adds a tone of idealism to your nature.
You are imaginative and creative, but rather uncomfortable in the business world.
You are very aware and sensitive, with outstanding intuitive skills and analytical abilities.
The 29 reduces to 11, one of the master numbers which often produces much nervous tension.
This is the birthday of the dreamer rather than the doer.
You do, however, work very well with people. |
Work well with others??? Well, the rest of it was appropriate anyways. | | Wednesday, May 25th, 2005 | | 1:45 am |

Origins
I've finally gotten all my tickets for this event bought. Took them long enough to get those LA events up, but I'm good now. Still have holes in my schedule, but that gives me time to win lots of free stuff from the dealer's room. And, I'll probably take in some LD at some time. In case other LA enthusiasts are looking at this (I'm looking at you, Dawn), I got in The Blood of Innocence in the first slot, and Under a Blood Red Sky in the second. | | Friday, May 6th, 2005 | | 9:17 am |
End of the school year
Well, time for me to pack up. Thank goodness I'm still apparantly immune to hangovers. It was our last day of exams and it was Cinco de Mayo. Of course we got shitfaced. As for classes, so far I'm feeling fine on my grades. There's still one class that is still a toss-up. Let's just hope that it comes up heads, eh? As for summer plans, I'm prolly gonna be working at Denny's, since my mom already got a job there. But, I plan looking around that first week just to see if I can get something better. Also, I'm going to Origins over the summer. It's definitly the number one priority of the summer. Also, my good buddy Sam is back. Of course, he's been away for 2 years, will we still have much in common? I think so, we're really good friends. But, who knows. Sure we'll find some fun stuff to do when I'm not working (which looks like it'll be 3rd shift when I do). Like I said, gonna look around that first week... Well, I suppose I should make with the packing thing. So, no more of this then. Goodbye internet connection! Later, peoples. | | Thursday, May 5th, 2005 | | 12:06 pm |

The Sickness
Baah, I hate being sick. Nothing hurts my grades more than not being able to attend class. Of course, this only goes for the classes that I would have attended classes for, (ie, not psych or geology), but still. Also, I rather enjoy being able to breathe, and being sick interferes with that passion. But, that's all in the past, I'm just about over it. | | Monday, April 18th, 2005 | | 2:01 pm |
Let's see, it has been quite a while since my last update. As my friend Matt has recently put it, "I live in a routine. I wake up go to classes, I go to sleep, I hang out with friends. What's new? Nothing!!" I did have Spring Break a few weeks ago. I went home planning to work, which didn't happen. The work part, that is. Which makes money tight. Which means I've been forced to break my diet, and go to the staple food, good old ramen. As far as how the diet went, at last check I had lost 55 lbs. However, by the time I get back to work at home, I expect to have gained back about 15 of that. :-( But, that's all right. I'll be able to lose it again when I can continue it. When I have, you know. Money. Also, I'm planning on going to Origins this summer. Of course, this would require that their website ever gets up event submission. I do have a badge though. Hopefully, all the events won't be filled up by snail mail submissions. Seriously, what company has priority for snail mail over internet submissions? Oh yeah, the kind that is over 2 months behind schedule with thier website. In anime news, I suggest people check out Bleach. I'll not get into descriptions here, because I'm just not that good at describing it. Just trust me. There's a good chance you'll like it. Also, just got a good look at Races of Eberron this week. At first, I kinda laughed at the idea. But looking at the book, well, it's very interesting. If I do end up running a home Eberron campaign this summer(like I want to), I'd have to end up using it. A bunch of fun stuff is contained inside. There you go Sam, an update. Will I continue to do this, on a more frequent basis? Who knows, but I can guess which is the best bet. | | Thursday, March 3rd, 2005 | | 11:52 pm |
rough week
Well, this week has had quite a bit of hell accompanying it. 4 exams in not as many days, and 2 major programs due tomorrow. Finished one, and almost done with the other. Not much sleep inbetween. On the bright side. I've been doing great in non-class related things. I've lost 40 lbs (still not done though, 240 is still pretty heavy...). But, that is definitly something to be proud of, methinks. Also getting to take out alot of aggression this weekend going through Dark Harvest and Queen's Castle, 2 more Living Arcanis games. And, Spring Break isn't too far away either. I'm just going home to work for a week, but the simple change in the daily routine will do me good. That, and the nice paycheck ^_^. Speaking of pay, I've been having little problem getting up for work on the weekend mornings. Also, got an extra 10 hours on my first paycheck for some reason. But, let's just keep that on the dl, no need for them to get that money back. And, I've been on a computer for roughly 10 hours today... So I'm signing off now, to do something that isn't so straining to me eyes. See you later! | | Monday, February 7th, 2005 | | 12:59 pm |
Weekend
Well, I got myself a small part time job over the weekend. I'll be cooking at one of the local cafeterias. I needed the extra money to make up for me spending a little too much on this computer. But, that's okay now. The food problems are more than made up, since I can eat for free at the cafeteria, plus the extra money helps when I'm not eating there. | | Monday, January 31st, 2005 | | 7:22 pm |

Stroke of Luck
Well, I was walking out of Clemson House (the dorm where I live) to go downtown to find a job. I see a good friend of mine named Noel. She asks what I'm doing and I tell her. Then she asks if I want her job. The pay is decent, and the hours are perfect for my needs. What luck! Saved me a trip downtown. Of course the job isn't guaranteed, she'll have to check it out with her boss. But, I think things look good. | | 2:45 pm |
Woohoo
Well, I have my computer now, so we can maybe expect more updates now. Woohoo! Anyways, I've been mostly playing Neverwinter Nights lately. Takes up a lot of time, but it's fun. But more importantly, yesterday I finally got to play Faith, Hope, and Honor. And all I have to say is my friend Ssrethis the Druid is fucking nasty. Just got to say I'm glad he's on my side. Cause, he's a big fan of ending combats reaaal quick. Classes are going all right so far, but who's to say what will come in the next week. All I do know for certain is I have to get a part-time job. I'm thinking Subway. If I get in the realm of 50-70 dollars a week, I'll be fine. Shouldn't be too hard... Anyways, I'll update soon, I promise! |
